So here I am: in Chicago for a couple of months. A very charming city, especially now in summer. Many of the buildings were done by top architects like Mies Van der Rohe, Renzo Piano and Frank Ghery – I’ll talk more about it soon. Also many of the people are in a friendly mood, besides the crisis, and I think it is because of the weather.

Until now my favorite places were the beaches along Lake Michigan which adds a vacation atmosphere to the city, amazing parks such as Grant and Millennium, the remarkable art institutions and the gay bars in Andersonville area (last weekend they had a Swedish festival to celebrate the longest day of sunlight in all year). Soon more news from Chicago. See you!

From the top: The bean sculpture by Anish Kapoor at Millenium Park; the interior of the bean; the main entrance of Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art and the mini version of the city at Chicago Architecture Foundation.
