Nothing like renewing our wardrobes with nice and updated clothes for a new season. We prepared a small list of the most desirable items of the moment. It’s summer: time to feel the heat (finally)!
1. Polka dots: don’t even think about buying a mariner striped t-shirt on the navy-Breton style! It’s too late… Everybody has one and now it looks like an uniform. It was cool around one or two years ago… But if you want to look for the next thing, I would suggest a t-shirt printed with funny polka dots. This print is a classic, it will come back and when a man wears it, it’s very unexpected.
2. Espadrilles: it’s comfortable, light and fits perfectly in a holiday suitcase. The trend exploded with those colourful Prada brogues with rope soles and now it’s evolving into everything related to this inexpensive material. So you don’t need to spend too much on it.
3. Bright colour jacket: there is a trend that all the fashionistas don’t stop repeating called “colour blocking” – when you dress different colours dividing them into blocks. It’s actually a very desirable trend because colours inject a totally different new energy in our routines. But don’t buy things you will not wear after the trend is gone. I recommend something like a jacket that protects you from the rain, or a jacket that has your favourite colour – but in a bright version. The German brand Friesennerze has the most classic versions, for example, for that yellow raincoat.
4. Postman bag: when riding on a bicycle this Summer, keep in mind that it’s important to carry your personal belongings in a practical way, leaving your body free to move. Bags like the ones the postmen use, for example, can be easily fixed in your bicycle if necessary. And they also have a timeless design.
5. Smart details: the fashion designer Aider Ackermann once explained that in menswear it’s “all about detail and realism”. So why not acquiring colourful pairs of socks to match to the colour of your t-shirt? Or why not to invest in a pair of sunglasses with a vintage design? I will leave it up to you, but the homework is to choose a detail that is special for you.
