Pitti Uomo report: Freshness and accessible luxury at Carven

FLORENCE - The French brand Carven, one of the special guests of this edition of Pitti Uomo, surprised its audience with a beautiful presentation in Velodromo delle Cascine. The atmosphere of a traditional racing competition has been stylishly recreated on site. The guests were placed in the middle of the soccer field, where a dinner was offered after the show.

The presentation began with a narrator announcing the race of the day and the competitors. Suddenly models came into play along with the waiters in an entertaining competition. The ‘waiter race’ is a common game in France. Here they assured some laughs from the audience by carrying trays with glasses without spilling any water from them, while the models showed beautiful sports-inspired outfits.

What the designer Guillaume Henry has created was a young collection full of vitality, partly because of the fluo colour chart and the short lengths that were employed. Many pieces are actually ideal to be used in combination with a bike – this item that is becoming essential in our era.

Maison Carven was founded in 1945 by Madame Carven and now enters the new century renewed by the hands of Henry. Even better to know that the luxury they want to offer is smart and accessible. (By Hermano Silva)
