The men’s fashion shows finished this Monday in Paris launching the main trends for the spring/summer 2010. The first city to host the shows was Florence in mid June with the 76th edition of Pitti Uomo fair. We followed all the news via Internet and the most interesting topic for this blog came off-runway. Some of the visitors of the event were wearing glasses with large frames.

I am saying this because the same glasses are also present here in Chicago making me think about this trend. Since Chicago is a business city, I imagined that the geeks and yetties (young entrepreneurial technocrats) were kind of part of their culture. So very natural would be some weird glasses and clumpsy clothes, right? But for one reason (fashion) or other (business), men are looking a bit “nerdy” at the moment.

If you want to get the look follow the singer Justin Timberlake (bellow). He has been wearing his glasses with tuxedos but also with hats and t-shirts in informal looks. Another option is the horn-rimmed frames. It will provide an 80’s touch and some humor to your apearence!
