The relaxed chic of Wooyoungmi

Paris, Spring-Summer 2012 –  A nice surprise on the show of the Korean sisters Wooyoungmi and Woojanghee presented this Saturday, 25th.The clothes were able to bring that delicate balance between elegance and relaxedness. The brand has been pointed as one of the hottest names among the young talents of the Parisian scene.

What we saw was an interesting interpretation of the trend sport. The t-shirts were made of neoprene - a material used in surfwear, the beige tones were punctuated by neon colours and the accessories, such as hats and bags, were made of raffia. The designers revealed that the inspiration came from the movie “The Talented Mr. Ripley” - a reference that many designers have tuned in the past. But here the interpretation came updated with certain freshness, making the clothes transit between the shore and the city very easily.

The day also featured presentations from Dior Homme, Maison Martin Margiela e Raf Simons – all of them continuing the work done in previous seasons. But perhaps the greatest show of the day in Paris was the Gay Pride parade that gathered together 500 thousand people in the Place de la Bastille according to the organizers of the event.
