Summer street style: part 1

No idea about what to wear in the heat? We did a selection of the most trendy summer looks seen in London, Florence and Berlin during the fashion show season in June and July.

The first part of our style report is about casual wear: inspirations for your spare time and weekend outfit!

Shirts with short sleeves: present on many catwalks, it stands for a new trend  this season that makes the men more informal and relaxed… Goodbye ties or socks!

Another example of a short sleeved shirt, but here Christoph combines it with another big trend this season: the camouflage print.

The monochromatic look was also seen around. It can come in pale tonalities, like above, or in bright colors – giving continuity to a trend from previous season.

As we were already talking about this before: it is the right moment to invest into a Hawaiian shirt. Marco chose a vintage version.

Actually all the prints that look tropical are in – as seen on the bermudas above. The jeans shirt, worn by Andrea, continues to be a favorite too.

What about the hairstyles and accessories? Giancarlo shows “the” haircut of the season combined with a ginger beard and the classic Clubmaster sunglasses.

This gentleman for example went for all: the jeans shirt, camouflage bermuda plus a handkerchief tied in the neck. The scarves are coming back and will – if not replace – then at least compete against ties.

On the streets of London one would always find unusual looks like this one. This gentleman shows the latest object of desire amongst the fashionistas: the male version of the clutch bag – ideal to carry an i-Pad.

In Florence, on the other hand, the gentlemen preserve their macho soul with an interesting cult for grooming. This young Italian, for example, combines a traditional Howie Moustache, sideburns and the Haircut.

Berlin might not have many gentlemen in tailored clothes nor overly groomed ones. Berliners usually stand for comfortable clothes and avoid status symbols. The mates rather refer to the cap of skaters and cyclists.
